Swooning for Summer

It's December, which means I'm dreaming of a golden summer! (Yes, I can't wait for summer already!) It would seem that the Walla Walla Public Library can't wait either as they aim to have a new Summer Reading Logo drafted-up for the coming year.
The presently drafted logo aims to capture the fun of summer reading thanks to the wonderful programs that the Walla Walla Public Library has to offer. This original draft-up for the logo (above) was to incorporate summer reading with traditional summer zest; beachy waves and a scorching sun. Thus, the book pages represent blue waters with the rising sun peeping through. We've since played more and more with color dynamic to better capture the personal branding aspects of the Walla Walla Public Library. (below)

The Public Library has since progressed with the idea of replacing the sun with some more iconic symbols of the library. I don't want to give too much away just yet, you'll have to wait until the logo is complete to see the results!
