The WWPL is championing "Screen Free September" this year! Guess who got to design the promotions..? 😊
This month, the Walla Walla Public Library has started "Screen Free September" in which the librarians are "...encouraging people to put their cell phones away and find a book for yourself or your children..." to bring light to the freedom from electronics that reading provides!
I had the joy of putting together a promotion for the month-long event; thus my Lill' Plug Dude was born. Lill' Plug Dude is taking a break with a beloved book - we should all follow suit! So far he's been hanging out in-place of iPads in the children's area and standing tall on lobby banners just as a reminder to "Unplug and Read!"
If you happen by the Walla Walla Public library this September, say hello to my pluggy-plug-guy! (oh, and read a book or two!)
Look at my little plug-dude livin' it up! (above) He's championing "Screen Free September " at the Walla Walla Public Library! (Did I mention I love my job?)
