Simple Ingredients is a small body of work who's smallness is to reflect how little we acknowledge our foods or their raw source. In creating these minimalist 4"x4" hybrid digital and ink works, I have taken the time to explore how my personal staple ingredients appear in their native state. (That is, before being processed down to their consumable parts!) I've become increasingly interested in the nature of my food as I continue on my journey into complete veganism. In studying my foods' forms, I have grown all the more enamored by the natural world and am excited to share the wild little wonders of our kitchens.
